Poetry by Morgaine Swann

Opium

Velvet soft and Velvet sweet
Winters warmed with candles heat
Softly singing ancient rhymes
Striking meter, marking time

Soft embracing lovers glow
Satin sheets, soft blankets, snow
flowing under violins softly kissing tattooed skin

Dreaming sweaty, soft asleep
Forging promises to keep
Warm and safe and soft together
Brightest love cures coldest weather
