Poetry by Morgaine Swann

Sidewalk

Pounding Pavement
leather souls
and
leather boots

that roll and grind
and grit
and grate

Stileto heels,
stabbing,
spikes are driven,
chugging,

Sneakers slipping,
squeaking, creaking,

Big feet, flat feet
jelly bean toes,

socks and boxes
heather-toned stockings
seams, and dreams
and schemes,
obscene

stomping, stamping

Marching

left
left
left - right
left ..........................down there, face up.
